平权会年度换届选举即将举行
平权会的下次年度选举会议确定在2018年1月13日晚6:00-8:00，地点：神厨。请各位投票理事提前预留时间参加，并为参选理事的会员投下您宝贵的一票。理事原则上需要参加每月一次的电话会议（每个月第三个周二的晚上9:00-10:00），参与平权会的日常运作投票。时间上虽然占用相对较多（预计每个月至少两到四个小时），但是对自己个人的锻炼和成长也是非常大的。非常希望大家能够报名参选理事，共同为社区服务。
平权会宣布为克里斯凯特竞选连任背书
圣地亚哥亚裔平权会（SDAAFE）日前决定为克里斯凯特竞选连任圣地亚哥市议会第六区背书。
“我们很高兴能为克里斯·凯特（Chris Cate）竞选连任圣地亚哥市议会第六区的议员背书。克里斯对亚裔社区参与政治和公民事务的一贯重视和提倡是和我们平权会的目标一致。“ 平权会副会长Steve Hsieh说。
克里斯是近半个世纪以来第一位亚裔出身的圣地亚哥市议员。第六选区包括Mira Mesa, Miramar, Kearny Mesa, Clairemont 和Rancho Peñasquitos。这些地区三分之一人口是亚裔。
圣地亚哥亚裔平权会是一个无党派和非营利组织，致力于通过积极参与圣地亚哥县的公民和公共事务，使亚裔美国人获得平等的机会和正义。它是圣地亚哥县唯一的无党派亚裔美国政治行动委员会，有超过1700名会员。

平权会带动华人社区参加捐助大米活动
今年圣地亚哥警察局带领的圣地亚哥亚裔青少年组织举办了第八届每年一度的感恩节大米捐助活动。平权会积极组织华人社区参与该项慈善活动，并且带头从自己的经费里拨款购买了100磅大米。捐助的大米在11月18号在圣地亚哥警察局统一发放给贫困家庭。
首届青少年立法论文大赛颁奖典礼举行
2017年10月27日晚上7时，圣地亚哥亚裔平权会在恩典中文学校大厅举办了首届圣地亚哥青少年立法论文大赛的颁奖典礼。国会议员Scott Peters、市议员Chris Cate分别派Anthony Nguyen和Allen Young作为代表参加了这次颁奖典礼，并与副会长谢家树一起为获奖同学们颁奖。
这次获奖的同学名单有：
正方第一名：Annie Lu， 反方第一名：Amy Wang
正方第二名：Kane Xu， 反方第二名：Andrew Gao
正方第三名：Angela Dai，反方第三名：Sophia Fang
优秀奖：Jeffery Chen、Grace Deng、Andrew Gao、Emma Huang、Dofay Jiang、Annie Lu、Nicole Pi、Alan Wu、Jason Wu、Stephen Yang

关于平权会
圣地亚哥亚裔平权会创建于2014年反对SCA5时期，通过与本地议员沟通、征集签名等行动与其它兄弟组织一起成功阻击了2014年的SCA5，组织过抗议Jimmy Kimmel“杀光中国人”言论游行以及声援Peter Liang警官的活动。
圣地亚哥亚裔平权会坚持在工作、学校录取中的公平、公正、公开，按照宪法的要求反对在这些事务中考虑种族、性别、宗教等因素，同时也呼吁社区乐于对弱势群体进行力所能及的帮助。
圣地亚哥亚裔平权会鼓励亚裔积极参与本地的各项公共事务，并与民选官员建立日常的联络，沟通亚裔选民的需求。目前有多名理事积极参与到本市亚裔社区的各项事务当中，并且有多名投票会员积极参与本地学区、学校、小区HOA等管理事务。
圣地亚哥亚裔平权会目前正在从事的项目包括，与圣地亚哥学区就与CAIR合作问题进行的违宪诉讼，每年一度的青少年立法征文大赛鼓励青少年参政意识，积极跟踪加州立法并提醒亚裔立法中涉及到亚裔切身利益的问题。平权会还在积极帮助本地亚裔遇到的各项困难。
